First things first, despite the .org and the way we get most of our funding, we are not a non-profit.

Our goal is to offer unique ways for people to contribute to the development of green companies and technologies. We believe that there are plenty of good ideas out there and things we, as humans, can do to take better care of our environment. We want to be a part of this effort, and we want you guys to be a part of it too.

Not everyone is fortunate enough to have large amounts of disposable income. Also, not everyone has ingenious ideas and the will to push those ideas forward. Others don't have the expertise to effectively push their ideas forward. However, all these people want to help. We want to provide ways for them to do this.

What do we do with your contributions? We gather the contributions into a fund of sorts and store it in safe, liquid investment vehicles. This allows us to earn a return while the fund sits waiting to mature and be invested in a green opportunity. We invest in an opportunity when the fund matures to an appropriate amount and have concluded that the opportunity is a sound investment.

In addition to funding, we want to be able to provide the relevant expertise, business management, efficiency, and other support in order to help increase the probability of success for the venture.

We will also decide and agree on a way to make this investment worthwhile for us. This can either be a stake in the company, equity, percentage of sales, etc. We want our investments to grow and give us a return. This way, we can fund even more opportunities.

We believe that by investing and using our resources wisely, we will be able to be good stewards and be more effective. We want to make green work.
